Cavalcade is from the late 90's, and was recorded for a project dubbed Pulver, that later went on to form the core of the Slackharmonic catalog. This was back when I still did everything on a Tascam Portastudio Mk2 = Hissy-hissy. Maybe I'll release the original demo, too. This tune was tracked for the unreleased Slackharmonic album Graveyard of the Atlantic. Timing can be SO off in a relationship that it never quite gets going. There was originally supposed to be a train theme to this song, but I never found the right words. Left in the part about missing the ride. Felt right. That was the 90's.
Originally intended for the Slackharmonic, Beer Song got stuck in limbo when we split before finishing work on Under the BFB. The session died a tragic backup accident death. Tough. Had the instrumentation all aligned. It sounded great. Was going to redo heavy guitars. I'll likely see if any past bandmates wanna strum some with me an eventual full band take w/drums.
Shark Song is part silly take on "plenty of fish in the sea" - was also thinking about how the world overwhelms us with advertising (yeah very different thoughts) and how it'd be nice to cut those lines...
Originally a Slackharmonic tune.
Currently Climb the Mountain is an instrumental track inspired by climbing Mt. Rainier with friends. It was not a perfect day - we MADE it a perfect day. This track should have drums and vocals, but I can't play drums and I don't have words yet, but maybe it doesn't need words. This is brand new/not associated with any former band.
Cactus Bob is a demo of a song about a cowboy that just might be a cactus. Some word play. Mostly silliness. Dig it or don't, lol.
Lights Down Recorded in 2010 as part of the Mini Mammoth catalog, this is one of the tracks that went nowhere. I kinda dig the chorus.
